Linguica
is a delicious Portuguese sausage and now a delightful, campy, farce,
too! This madcap show about a linguica cooking contest (for the best
and most unusual use of linguica in a recipe) is set in the mythical
southcoast city of New Bay, and features characters including a sexagenarian
barfly & her identical twin sons, an agoraphobic former salesclerk and
babysitter, New Bays own Martha Stewart {pre-convict stage}, and host
of the local cable cooking show, Cooking with Manny. Find out
what happens when the characters try to outwit each other in a quest
for first prize in the First Annual Linguica Recipe Extravaganza.
Two actors play all the parts in this fast-paced romp complete with
quick changes, a case of mistaken identity, and unrequited love.
LINGUICA
runs 45 minutes without intermission.
