Rebecca Schade has worked internationally as a multi-media and installation designer. Her studio, French Curve Design, specializes in film, media and installation. Her works have garnered numerous awards and appeared in such shows as > Graphis / Switzerland, The One Show / NYC, Creativity / NYC, the New York, Boston, and Houston Art Directors' Clubs and numerous film and video festivals. Her film awards have included Best of Show at the International Festival for Multi-Image.
Projects and clients include > Lisbon Aquarium, The Kentucky Derby Museum, Charleston SC Visitor Center, Amnesty International, Polaroid, IBM, Lotus, Museum of Fine Arts-Boston, Boston Museum of Science, Boston Globe, WCVB-TV 5, WCOZ Radio, WHDH Radio, The Media Lab at MIT, Harvard School of Law, Brown University Rare Book Library, Rhode Island School of Design, Reebok, Design Research and Marimekko Oy.
Rebecca's works for stage have ranged from international productions to regional Equity productions including for Merrimack Repertory Company, Womens' Theatre Ensemble, The Boston Center for the Arts, and the Theatre Offensive. Her plays Scratch and Dent, Exultation of Larks, BUMP, Rhino, Division Road, Delta Brilliant and Dot, Frank & the Wicked Digger have been presented at past short plays marathons. Research, a play based on the life and works of Zora Neale Hurston has been performed at Gallery X and The Everlasting Itch, a one-man Moby Dick, has been performed numerous times at the New Bedford Whaling Museum and as part of The Zeiterions In-School Tour of the region.
Rebecca is a songwriter, and writes plays and screenplays. She is co-founder of Culture*Park.
